Cardiff Met Swimming will become a Swim Wales affiliated club before the university term restarts in September 2017.  In an arrangement with Swim Wales, Cardiff Met students will get the chance to represent the university outside of the general BUCS competitions, giving more opportunities for team members to compete during the academic year. The white-collar event at the Vale Resort involved contenders fighting in 3,  two-minute rounds with friends and family supporting from the side. BBM sponsorship confirmed 

Cardiff Met Swimming team is pleased to announce that they will be sponsored by BBM control systems for the forthcoming 2017-18 academic year. BBM control systems sponsored the team last academic year and helped supply kit for team to wear at three national university competitions.
